AACC May Events Features Business Plan Competition and Job Fair

Anne Arundel Community College offers many events open to the community that are organized or hosted by various college departments or programs. Unless noted otherwise, most events occur on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. Occasionally, times, dates or places of the events change. AACC CLASSES

Ongoing – Registration for summer and fall credit and noncredit classes continues. To register, visit www.aacc.edu/register.

 May 23 – No classes start 4:30 p.m. or after on May 23; May 24-26 – College closed for Memorial Day break; online services available.

BUSINESS

May 1 – 9 a.m.noon 11th Annual Business Competition at Anne Arundel Community College – Five AACC students compete for a cash prize donated by Capital One Bank, a year’s space in the AACC Student Business Incubator complete with mentoring and business advising and coaching, a $10,000 Ratcliffe Scholarship, free accounting services and networking opportunities; finalists will present their business plans for a new or proposed business or organization before a panel of area business representatives, who will question them much as investors do in a real situation; sponsored by Capital One Bank; free and open to the public; Cade Center for Fine Arts Room 219; for information, call Stephen Berry, at 410-777-2363, email smberry1@aacc.edu or visit http://www.aacc.edu/esi/businessplan.cfm.
