First Look: Inside the $1.4 billion MGM National Harbor (Video)

MGM National Harbor opens Thursday in Prince George’s County, and the Las Vegas entertainment company has started pulling back the curtain ahead of Thursday’s opening.

The $1.4 billion project, which includes a 308-unit hotel, a 3,000-seat theater, several celebrity chef-driven restaurants and a 125,000-square-foot casino floor, aims to bring Las Vegas to the D.C. region, and the design aims to combine the two cultures.

Lit by natural light in a large atrium, the entrance to the hotel is grand but certainly more understated than some in Las Vegas, with white, gray and neutral tones punctuated by metallics and blond wood tones.
