Scott Plank sets sights on remaking part of University of Maryland campus

Under Armour Inc. CEO Kevin Plank could easily be considered one of theUniversity of Maryland’s most successful graduates, but now it’s his brother and former Under Armour executive who is proposing to make his mark on the university’s College Park campus.

Scott Plank, who retired as executive vice president of business development at Under Armour in 2012 to form Baltimore-based War Horse LLC, has proposed redeveloping a pair of university-owned properties under long-term leases with the institution. The University System of Maryland’s board of regents is scheduled to consider the leases, expected to generate about $10 million in private capital investment, at its finance committee meeting on Thursday.
