Ours friends at Mid Atlantic Networking are holding their 2nd Annual “Maryland’s Top Crab Cake Challenge” event on Tuesday, September 15th from 3-8pm in the ballroom at Michael’s Eighth Ave. in Glen Burnie.  We will be set up there with an Exhibitor Booth so stop by and say Hi.  They have offered BWCC members “Member” pricing should you choose to have an Exhibitor Booth at the event.  There will be 10-12 restaurants competing to see who makes the best crab cake.  There will also be local breweries handing out samples of their beer as well as a casino night and other fun stuff going on.  There will be 75-100 Exhibitor Booths.  Attendees purchase a ticket for $20 and come through the booths, sample the crab cakes and beer, play the games and hang around for a while as opposed to a standard issue “Business Expo” when they race through the room and leave.

They are also using the event as a platform to raise awareness as well as money for a worthy cause called “Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation”.  The Foundation raises money for childhood cancer research.  It’s an amazing story and a great cause. Details and a short video on ALSF are on the event page at www.CrabCakeChallenge.com.  There will be a Silent Auction going on at the event with your favorite Sports Memorabilia and other items to raise money for the Foundation as well as an actual “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” for people to have lemonade and/or donate to the cause.  They are rounding up items for the Silent Auction so if your company would like to help with the campaign, reach out to them and let them know how you can help.

BWCC Member pricing for the booth would be $195 instead of $250 and includes a table, floor length linen, 2 chairs and one admission ticket.  Additional tickets can be purchased for booth helpers for $20/each. Admission includes crab cake samples, beer samples, entry into the Casino night, a door prize ticket and more.  They also promote the exhibitors on the event page with their contact information and a link to their website for a minimum of 3 months.  Their website receives over 500 visitors per day.

Give Doug a call with any questions at 410-562-5354 or visit the Event Page at www.CrabCakeChallenge.com.  Thanks for your help in spreading the news about the event.
