The Chronicle of Higher Education Recognizes Howard Community College for the Seventh Year!

The Chronicle of Higher Education announced today that Howard Community College (HCC) is a “Great College to Work For” – for a record seventh year in a row! http://chronicle.com/section/Academic-Workplace-2015/879/

This national recognition program is based upon the results of a survey completed by employees at nearly 281 colleges and universities across the country, including a random sample of HCC faculty and staff. Only 24 community colleges were selected as a “Great College to Work For.”

In addition, those colleges and universities that stand out in comparison to their peers are selected for the Honor Roll.  HCC is the only community college in Maryland to have earned a spot on this coveted list for 2015. The Honor Roll achievement is in the following categories:

  • Collaborative Governance
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Confidence in Senior Leadership
  • Diversity
  • Facilities, Workspace and Security
  • Professional/Career-Development Programs
  • Respect and Appreciation
  • Work/Life Balance

This award is made possible by our dedicated faculty and staff who work each and every day to support one another and provide pathways to success for our students.
