Bachelor’s Degree Offered at AACC at Arundel Mills Wins Accreditation

Frostburg State University’s Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical Concentration) offered at Anne Arundel Community College’s Regional Higher Education Center at Arundel Mills has received accreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the ABET, a nonprofit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the education, accreditation, regulation and professional development of the engineering professionals and students in the United States. The accreditation assures students and potential employers that a program meets the required quality standards of the engineering profession.

Through a partnership between the two colleges, AACC students who graduate with an Associate of Science in Engineering (A.S.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering can transfer with junior standing to the Frostburg program. An additional advantage is that these students can continue to take classes toward the bachelor degree at the Arundel Mills site, allowing them to complete the bachelor’s program without leaving the county.
