University of Maryland looks to the future with Big Ten move

For the University of Maryland, College Park, that meant packing its bags at its 60-year home in the Atlantic Coast Conference and heading to the Big Ten Conference.

The Terps officially joined the Big Ten on July 1, a move that gives the university access to academic resources in the 14-school conference and plenty of coverage on the lucrative Big Ten Network.
