23.9 million people visited Baltimore in 2013

Baltimore in 2013 welcomed 23.9 million visitors who spent $5.15 billion in the city.

The visitation marked a 2.6 percent increase from the previous year. Visit Baltimore touted that achievement and others at the tourism organization’s annual meeting Tuesday at the Hilton Baltimore.

During fiscal 2014, Visit Baltimore booked 370 future events that will account for 461,247 future room nights at the city’s hotels. That’s down from the 477,764 future nights Visit Baltimore booked the previous year, but it marks the sixth consecutive year the agency booked more than 450,000 future room nights.
